SEVEN12 Management’s obsession with client service and success originated in December 1993 when bold entrepreneurs Joe and Kristin Thompson took a huge chance and left steady, secure jobs to start Thompson Management Associates, LLC. Joe and Kristin built a culture of family and service that grew Thompson Management into a strong and respected association management company serving associations across many industries and benefitting thousands of member companies. 



Ten years after founding Thompson Management, Joe and Kristin met Talbot Gee, a young, inexperienced association executive at a conference who worked for an association management competitor, whom they still openly and enthusiastically mentored on the art and science of association management, coalitions, and strategic partnerships.  Over the next several years, Joe, Kristin, and Talbot worked together on many initiatives as Thompson Management’s client list grew and Talbot grew in his career.

Ready to embark on a well-deserved retirement, the Thompsons implemented a seamless transition plan to ensure business continued to operating at regular capacity without interruption. This plan included hiring Molly Alton Mullins in 2016. Joe and Kristin sold Thompson Management Associates, LLC to Talbot in June of 2017. Joe and Kristin passed onto Talbot not only a respected company of the highest integrity with an impressive list of clients, but also a tremendous talent in Molly who now serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.


SEVEN12 Management

March of 2019, Thompson Management Associates, LLC became SEVEN12 Management to reflect the next stage of the company’s evolution with Talbot as its Chairman and Molly as CEO, however it is important to all of us that no member of the SEVEN12 team forgets or never learns what Joe and Kristin accomplished and made possible for the rest of us.
